New Delhi [India], November 25: The United Nations International Year of Cooperatives to be observed throughout 2025 will be formally launched in New Delhi on 25th November, the Indian Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has announced.
Along with this launch, the Global Cooperative Conference of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) will be inaugurated by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25th November, the announcement said.
The conference will be themed "Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All." It will feature discussions, panel sessions, and workshops addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by cooperatives worldwide in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
There will be focus particularly in areas such as poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable economic growth.
