Hours later, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Trump launched a series of attacks on Harris, saying she would destroy America and criticizing his opponent on a range of issues, from public safety to immigration. "If a crazy radical like Kamala Harris is elected, the American dream is dead," Reuters quoted Trump as saying. The former president also said Harris was even worse than Biden.
Minnesota has not voted for a Republican candidate in 52 years. However, the Trump campaign has considered the state within reach in recent months, following polls that consistently showed Trump leading President Biden. However, Harris's late entry is bringing new energy to the Democratic campaign. A Fox News poll released on July 27 showed Harris leading Trump 52% ​​to 46% in Minnesota. This is just one of several polls that have shown Vice President Kamala Harris taking just a few days to erase Trump's advantage over President Biden in previous months.

The Washington Post estimated yesterday that Ms. Harris's campaign raised $200 million in less than a week since President Biden endorsed her. More than 170,000 volunteers have also signed up to help with various aspects of the campaign.
Still, veteran Democrats are warning Harris to prepare for a potential showdown with Trump, whose approval ratings are at their highest in four years. Democratic strategist James Carville told MSNBC the party should stop celebrating and prepare for the "storm."
