The ceremony to welcome President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta on a state visit to Vietnam was solemnly held according to the highest protocol reserved for heads of state, with President To Lam presiding over the welcoming ceremony. The national anthems of the two countries were played during this solemn ceremony.
After the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders held talks and witnessed the signing of documents. It is expected that on August 1, the President of Timor-Leste will meet with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. During the visit, President To Lam and the President of Timor-Leste will also visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
This visit by President Jose Ramos-Horta is his fourth high-level visit to Vietnam, aiming to continue promoting cooperation measures and deepening bilateral relations, thereby further consolidating the traditional friendship that has been nurtured over the past time.
